TORONTO –April 23, 2019, marks one year since the deadly van attack on Yonge Street in Toronto that killed 10 people and injured 16 others.
Ceremonies and vigils are planned today to honour those killed or injured in last year’s deadly van attack in north Toronto.
The City of Toronto is holding an event at the Mel Lastman Square Amphitheatre at 1:30 p.m. to coincide with the time of the April 23, 2018 incident that left 10 dead and 16 injured.
Several ceremonies and vigils are being held throughout the day to pay tribute to all those affected..
Bonnie Crombie ( Mayor of Mississauga) also tweeted that Tonight, the clock tower will be dimmed to honour the 10 innocent lives lost in the Yonge Street tragedy
